Australian teachers are often nervous about teaching Indigenous history and culture. But one simple approach can have remarkable results, as Associate Professor of Education Neil Harrison explains.

After beginning his teaching career in a remote Arnhem Land community over 30 years ago, Neil Harrison has spent many years looking at ways to connect Australian school students to Indigenous knowledge and culture through a teaching philosophy he calls Learning from Country.

Neil speaks Sean Britten to explain how connecting students to local indigenous knowledge can have transformative effects, especially for Indigenous children in urban schools.
