Macquarie Law School alumnus Mr Stuart Clark AM has been recognised in the Queen's Birthday honours for his 'significant service to the law, through senior roles with professional legal bodies to strategic reform, and to the rural fire service.' He was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
Mr Stuart Clark is a Partner at Clayton Utz and was recently elected as the Law Council of Australia's President for 2015, and as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law. He was Chairperson at Large Law Firm Group Limited where he was involved in the establishment of the National Legal Profession Reform. He was the Director of Legal Aid Commission of NSW from 1992 to 1997, and his community service includes serving as Deputy Captain for Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Communication Brigade, NSW Rural Fire Service.
Mr Stuart Clark is among the first graduating cohort of law students from Macquarie, and has been an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie Law School since 2010.
