Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor Professor S. Bruce Dowton has launched a new, wide-ranging consultation on the future of the university. Introducing Our University: A Framing of Futures, Professor Dowton invited staff to " look into the future with a view of the way the world is changing."
"We need to dream and conceptualise what the world might be," he said. “We need a vision that is Macquarie. This is what we stand for; this is what we can become. This is what we believe in."
The process will run until mid-2013, and will inform a plan that will outline the long-term future of the university and its position in the Australian higher education landscape.
